To ensure work goals and plans are created accordingly I must have insight into the organizations long-term vision strategy as well as my own role and responsibilities within the organization. Organizations also set strategic and operational plans therefore as a manager I would need to examine and keep up-to-date with these to ensure my goals and plans are inline with the organizations. Working within a team environment means working interdependently, therefore, my ability to get my job done is dependent on others and others depend on me to get their work done; as each independent role contributes to the overall function of the organization.
